How Far Are They Willing to Go?

In another case of the drug war gone terribly wrong the mayor of Manchester New Hampshire has asked the spokesman for the school district who also happens to be a state representative to step down based on his vote on a Marijuana decriminalization bill. Now I know I am not a Canadian, but I have a basic understanding of the process of the US Government, and I am pretty sure that employees cannot be fired based on political beliefs. This is McCarthyism plain and simple.
