Google Adsense

I have some ads on this blog, I am sure you noticed. It's to help fund me keeping this site up, I don't mind admitting I prefer to get paid for my writing on here, I'd love it if blogging became my full time job, but a) I am just not that willing to pimp myself, and b) I like my blogs to have actual information not 98% ads.

I have never found the ads intrusive or that far off topic, so I have never had a reason to question the need for ads. However after writing my latest entry I found something beyond funny. There was an add for www.drugfreeworld.org with a looped image saying "they said marijuana wouldn't lead to harder drugs" then a pause followed by a new screen saying "THEY LIED!". I found the ad so funny I had to go to the site and take a look. I ordered one of their pamphlets. We shall see if its all its cracked up to be. Based on the ad I think it should be amusing. Stay tuned, I will post the details.

Infant Dies At Unlicensed Daycare - Nashville News Story - WSMV Nashville

This is an absolute tragedy, no doubt about it. An infant died while being cared for at an unlicensed daycare in Tennessee. I feel for the parents, and I feel for everyone involved.

The reason this story is being posted to this board... well "Edna Murray," the proprietor, "tested positive for marijuana when they arrived at the center." What does marijuana have to do with this case... no idea. Why was she tested for marijuana, no idea. Except that a tip was given to police years ago that marijuana was smelt near Murray's home. This is more fear mongering by the marijuana war fans. They are using this travesty to justify that marijuana is evil, despite the fact that no evidence has been given to suggest marijuana played any part of this tragic stiuation.

A Modest Proposal

It is clear that we are not winning the war on drugs. Therefor something must be done, and to this end I have a modest proposal in order to stop the violence, bloodshed, addiction, and suffering that is caused by drugs. It is a modest proposal, one that would cost a fraction of the current war, and it would be 100% effective. It is time for an all out offensive on drugs.

Recall the forces in Afghanistan and Iraq, there services are required here at home to defeat the nefarious drug fiends. As everyone knows once a person even touches an illicit drug they are turned into a murderous fiend and thief. They will immediately go home and slaughter their family and rob the nearest liquor store. With this in mind my suggestion is not as radical as it will first appear.

What we must do is anytime someone is even suspected of having seen drugs we must send in a strike force to eliminate him. I don't mean arrest, detain, question and incarcerate, I mean take him out permanently, murderize him, put him six feet under, wack him, whatever term you prefer for putting two bullets in his chest and one in his head.

Since we know an addict of marijuana (or any other illicit drug) will immediately contract that horrible and incurable disease of reefer madness which will grant them superhuman strength and the desire to consume human blood. Studies have shown that vampire myths are based on reefer addicts.

By simply killing anyone who has contact with drugs we ensure that the rest of society can continue. Sure we will be slaughtering many humans, but as the movie "Wanted" taught us, "Kill one, save a thousand".

DEA Proud of Mexian Border Violence

The DEA is claiming that the increasing violence on the Mexican border is a sign of progress, and not that the war on drugs is faltering. I actually know what they are getting at, in some respects, that being said it is in extreme poor taste and is a very narrow vision viewpoint.

The claim is that since the Mexican government is taking the drug war seriously more crime is being reported and more bad guys are getting caught. In this respect they are correct. The problem is there would be no violence at all if drug laws were handled in a logical manner. The violence is a direct result of the US's lost before it began war on drugs. If America would stop acting as a World Police Force and drugs were handled by regulation instead of prohibition then the world would be a much more peaceful place.

I am not saying the drug gangsters are fine upstanding citizens that got caught up unfairly, they are thugs and hooligans, very very bad people. Hang 'em high, and let them dance the gallow's jig. But you can go in there with guns a blazin' and shoot anything that moves killing many innocents along the way as per the DEA's modus operandi, or you can steal their business from under their feet and force them to go straight or get nailed.

Is it just me, or am I begining to sound like a broken record? The solution is regulation and taxation, not prohibition and imprisonment.

Call in the Air Force The REAL Afghan Threat Spotted

In a dramatic case of overkill the RAF (Royal Air Force) was called in to do a special bombing in Afghanistan. Afghan commandos discovered a vast system of desert trenches that housed what would become the largest joint known to man in the aptly named Operation Albatross II RAF flew in and bombed the operation and special forces then moved in and torched it just for good measure.

Why I say the operation name is so aptly named is that, metaphorically speaking, an albatross is a wearisome burden, much as carrying out US drug enforcement mandates in the middle of a war is one hell of an albatross. Especially when the US presence in Afghanistan is negligible at best. The US have given up on Afghanistan, why are our and UK forces still enforcing US Drug war initiatives that our peoples and governments don't agree with. And worse why are we doing it with military personnel in foreign countries? Sure, officially on paper the request came through the Afghan "government", but come on, do even the Afghani people really refer to the puppets currently in place as their government?

Don't get me wrong, I am not opposed to the Afghan war, I support it. I am opposed to using the Afghan war as an excuse to curry favour with the US government by carrying on the US Drug War on foreign soil. When did NATO become a branch of the DEA?

DEA Agents Say Where Did I Leave My Gun?

Well this isn’t directly related to marijuana legalization issues, but since it demonstrates the over all incompetence of the Drug Warrior’s of the USA I thought it fitting that I blog on this one. According to ABC News DEA agents have a hard time keeping track of their weapons. Now I can understand the thefts, not much the DEA can do about brazen thieves who steal DEA weapons from hotel rooms while the agent is on the balcony, but some of the ways the DEA agents lost their weapons are beyond ridiculous.

Can you imagine what would happen if your average Joe had a hand gun that he left in an airport bathroom, wow what would happen to him? But for the DEA that is not a unique situation. DEA agents are apparently leaving their guns everywhere from supermarkets, to trash bins, to the roof of their car. Worse still these agents aren’t even reporting the loss of their weapons in a timely or proper fashion, they wait weeks months or sometimes years to report the loss. I think perhaps the DEA is using a little too much of the very products they are working so hard to prohibit.

Now where did I leave my bong, oh ya on the roof of my…. damn never mind.
